How the 4 cities compare

Averages cover every hotel scored in that city. "Gaming venues" counts the distinct esports venues, LAN centres and gaming cafés mapped near those hotels. "Top hotel" is the highest-scoring hotel with enough evidence for a published score.

How we score

Every hotel in the set is scored automatically on the same 7 signals, each rated 0 to 10, and the overall gaming-readiness score out of 100 covers all of them. How much public evidence sits behind a signal varies by signal and by hotel. Scores describe gaming-relevant amenities only. They are not a review of the hotel.

1. WiFi

   Guests describing connection speed and stability in enough detail to tell a working connection from a marketing claim.

2. Desk setup

   A real desk or workspace in the room, and how much of it is usable once a laptop or peripherals are on it.

3. Power outlets

   Outlets within reach of the desk and bed, and whether guests mention having enough of them for several devices.

4. Gaming facilities

   Anything gaming-related on the property itself: a gaming room, consoles, PCs, or a dedicated esports space.

5. Nearby gaming

   Esports venues, LAN centres, and internet cafés close enough to the property to reach easily during a stay.

6. 24h friendliness

   Flexible or late checkout, and how the property handles guests who keep hours that run past a normal front-desk day.

7. Blackout + food

   Curtains that actually darken the room, plus food available outside standard restaurant hours.

The evidence rules

• Evidence only. A signal is scored from what public guest reviews, the hotel's own listed amenities, and location data actually say. Where there is no evidence for a signal, the stat sheet shows nothing for it, and evidence coverage varies by signal and by hotel.
• No negative claims. The site publishes positive, evidence-backed findings. A hotel with no evidence for a signal simply shows nothing for it. 57 of the 80 hotels are still "Not yet rated", which means we don't have enough data yet, not that the hotel falls short.
• Two rated tiers. "Gamer Rated" is assigned automatically once a hotel's score and evidence clear the threshold (23 hotels so far). "Verified esports-friendly" is never automatic: it follows a hands-on assessment of the property (0 so far).
• Recomputed, not written. Scores refresh as new guest reviews arrive, and this page recomputes from the same files on every build.
